We had a wonderful stay at Adrian and Suzanne's house, very spacious and confortable place, not even mentioning the swimming pool, where we spent half of our time there. our hosts were very kind and accommodating. we would definitely come back.

Lovely spot pool much enjoyed. Nice towns and rivers to explore. Lovely welcoming hosts with added welcome touches which were much appreciated. The house is very much a home and
some rooms are quite damp and musty smelling. House is well equipped but being close to a farm brings problem of flies and huge wasps appear at night.

We had a truly wonderful stay in Suzanne and Adrian's villa! We were a group of 11 friends from high school, gathered over the Easter weekend to celebrate the 10 years anniversary of the end of our secondary, and came in Parcoul for relaxing and chilling out, exploring the Dordogne countryside, and party. The Fayette villa was just the perfect spot for this program: it is far enough from the village and main road to feel quiet and secluded, yet near enough to a couple of small towns to be less than a 15min drive from anything one might need. Complete this picture with plenty of amenities (a large, fully-equipped kitchen with a 5 burner cooker, a swimming pool, a pool table, a piano, a ping-pong table and a large garden) and a very attentive and thoughtful couple of owners (Suzanne and Adrian live in the neighboring cottage so you get both the independence from renting a whole house and the availability of the owners), and you get a great recipe for a perfect weekend with friends. Last but not least, Adrian's Springer Spaniel deserves a special mention for being the smartest dog I have ever seen.

Paradise Found!! We travelled (in one days ferry crossing and driving) from UK to La Fayette as two related families. We were looking for somewhere really peaceful to relax and chill out. There can be no better place for this than here. It is in deepest rural France, near enough to a couple of small towns so that supermarkets are only 15 mins drive, but far enough from the main road that nothing can be heard for most of the day but the birds, cows and chickens. The farmhouse is delightful, the main, original, building full of character with a wonderful, fully equipped kitchen which has all the pots, pans, plates, glasses, cuttlery etc. that you could possibly need with a great, 5 burner cooker, huge kitchen table, dishwasher, fridge-frezer, toaster, kettle, etc. etc. A delightful main bathroom with bath, shower and double basin. Three bedrooms, a dining area and large lounge with TV (UK channels available). Through another lounge to an annexe with well equipped laundry, washer, 2nd large fridge and 2 more bedrooms downstairs. Upstairs, another two large bedrooms (making seven in total) and bathroom with shower/toilet etc. Outside there is plenty of land, with a large, clean, heated, pool that really became the focus of our holiday. There are plenty of sunloungers, a shaded seating area and a large barbeque in the paved pool area. There are also two shaded areas outside the main house with tables and seating for a dozen or more people. Great for large family dining 'al fresco' in the evenings, then card playing, listening to music, socialising. Outside there is also a further bathroom and toilet. Being rural there is very little light pollution so we spent quite some time in the evening star gazing, watching the meteor shower, spotting satellites and the ISS passing overhead. There is plenty of grassed land around for kicking a football about or playing badminton and even an undercover shaded area with full size table tennis table. Bicyles are provided for exploring the area but we didn't try these. We had a few lound, even noisy, evenings playing our music at full volume and enjoying ourselves 'til after midnight, but being so far away from anywhere, there was no-one to upset. There're plenty of beds, each comfortable and clean, and each room has at least one electric fan for warmer nights. However, most of the house remains surprisingly cool, despite temperatures typically in the thirties each day. If you're sensible with opening windows in the morning to let the cool air through then closing the shutters before mid-day then the heat can be managed just fine. Hosts Adrian and Suzanne were exemplary. They welcomed us there with warmth and some essential supplies to get us started (including a bottle of bubbly in the fridge) and showed us around and how everything worked. Then they pretty much left us to it, perhaps popping round every few days to check if we needed anything, give us advice on...
