Carpentié Bas is a beautifully restored stone barn of 200 year old with a private pool, situated in a small hamlet of the Lot and Garonne between Villeneuve sur Lot and Monflanquin. The 5 bedroom barn has been sympathetically and lovingly restored. The gite can comfortably accommodate up to 10 people and this makes the most of the fabulous spacious atmosphere which makes the house so special and enjoyable.
Description
The huge living room has a double height pitched ceiling and is airy, bright and spacious with satellite television, DVD player, wifi, a wood burning fire and fabulous views across the valley. Access onto the vast covered terrace – perfect for catching the morning sun while you have your breakfast. A mezzanine with a small office area. The fitted kitchen comes fully equipped with an American style fridge freezer (including ice maker), microwave, hand blender, electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher. There’s a separate utility room with front loading washing machine. An iron and ironing board are provided. 5 Bedrooms, 4 with a double bed and one with 2 single beds. For children, we can provide a high chair and travel cot. All linen and towels, including pool towels, are provided. 3 Bathrooms, 2 with bath/shower and 1 with shower. There’s a hairdryer in each bathroom.
Outside
A sun terrace for an early morning breakfast, looking out over the vast plum orchard to the panoramic views of the valley. During the day, have a sleepy snooze in the shade of the horse chestnut tree or take a refreshing dip in your private swimming pool which overlooks the Lot valley. In the evenings, take a glass of Rosé out to the patio and watch the spectacular sunset which you could imagine was laid on just for you. The fabulous starry skies are quite breathtaking. Time seems to have little relevance here – a lazy day is a normal day. The south facing swimming pool is for your exclusive use and has beautiful views across the valley. It measures 9m x 5m and is salt water, so kinder for your skin. There are lights in and by the pool to allow you to swim on warm summer evenings. Pool towels are provided, for your convenience. There are 10 sun loungers and 3 parasols.
Lot et Garonne as the province is called is unknown, but therefore no less beloved. It is called the Tuscany of France. This especially for the many picturesque Bastide villages built on hilltops with restaurants on cozy squares. In the vicinity there is a wide range of restaurants, especially in the picturesque villages built on the many hills in the immediate vicinity. For the wine lover, the area is a true paradise, the wine regions of Cahors, Bergerac, Buzet, Duras and Bordeaux are all less than an hour away by car. Especially a visit to the beautiful town of St Emilion is a must.

Rowing, windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing, hiking, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, tennis and golf (Tombeboeuf 9 holes and Castelnaud 18 holes). The Lot is also a true paradise for fishermen.
