This estate is situated near Veyrignac and it extends itself over 15 hectares of forest, meadows and gardens. It was once a bustling farm, but now you will find an oasis of peace, located in the beautiful rural setting of Sarlat, Gourdon and Souillac, close to the river Dordogne.
The estate comprises several buildings. There are two rustic gites with an orangery. You'll be surprised by the heated pool located in the former water reservoir (in the middle of the garden underneath one of the buildings).
All the buildings are situated around the 'cour' (courtyard), a beautiful inner garden from where you enter the buildings. On the eastern side, the cour is bounded by a wall that provides a fascinating view over the forests and meadows. Both gites can easily accommodate, for example, four adults and four kids. You would rent the whole complex just to ensure your privacy. Except for the months of May, June, July and August, the gites can also be rented separately. There is a washer and dryer available.
Gite Cour (for 4 to 6 persons)
The gite is situated on the cour across from the Gite Jardin and the orangery. The gîte has a well-equipped rustic kitchen with fridge, stove, oven and raised fire place.
Bedroom with two single beds, bathroom with bathtub and toilet.
First floor: bedroom with four single beds, separate bathroom with shower, toilet and an extra child's bed.
Gite Jardin (for 2 persons)
The gite borders the orangery. A kitchen-breakfast room with fridge, stove, oven and a fireplace. A bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom with bathtub and toilet.
Outside
The orangery is a large, high, light space with plants and a small fountain. This space can be used by tenants of the gîtes. There are enough tables and chairs, which makes the space suitable to entertain a small company. But the beautiful light makes the orangery very suitable to use as art studio, for workshops or meetings as well. The gardens: The buildings are centrally situated on a plot of 1 hectare. The various gardens are situated on terraces surrounding the buildings, which are built against a hill. The gardens have different themes and are all walled in. You'll be surprised by the heated pool located in the former water reservoir (in the middle of the garden underneath one of the buildings).
The estate is situated at 3 kilometers from the river Dordogne, in the hilly landscape of Veyrignac, close to historic towns such as Sarlat, Souillac and Gourdon. You should absolutely visit the gorgeous and authentic Sarlat; the markets in Gourdon, Souillac and Saint Julien de Lampon; the caves of Lascaux and Padirac; the towns Rocamadour and Domme; Chateau Castelnaud, Chateau Beynac, Chateau Les Milandes and Chateau Fenelon, which is within walking distance; the gardens of Marqueyssac and Cadiot.
