The family-friendly gites are located in the heart of the Foret de La Double national park in the Perigord blanc. The properties have landscaped gardens and share outdoor space and the pool terrace. It is the perfect place for a relaxing family holiday. The gites are equipped with high quality furniture.
Gite Cerf
Gite Cerf has an open plan layout with a modern living and dining room. The gite has a dining and sitting area on the balcony. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances needed. There is a dishwasher and a washing machine.
The living room is equipped with comfortable sofas, Bluetooth speaker, TV and DVD player, family games, coffee table and books for those relaxing moments. The dining area features a large family table and 6 chairs for indoor dining. There are 3 bedrooms.
Bedroom 1 is fitted with a luxurious four poster king size bed and fitted with crisp white linen, a large chest of drawers and a hanging wardrobe. It has an ensuite bathroom, fully tiled. The patio doors give access to the balcony so you can welcome the rising sun. Bedroom 2 is fitted with a luxurious four poster king size bed with crisp white linen, a large chest of drawers and a hanging wardrobe. Bedroom 3 is fitted with two single beds with crisp white linen and a hanging wardrobe. The family bathroom features a free standing bath big enough for two and a lovely walk in shower.
Outside
Through the French doors you come out on the private terrace with a view of the swimming pool, the guest garden and the meadow. The view from this space is beautiful in the early morning with the sun rising over the fields and woods. There is a dining table with seating for six, as well as low seating for relaxing during the day. There is also a BBQ and a supply of local wood.

The ancient forest location offers a variety of flora and fauna with many opportunities to observe both birds and animals. In the spring the distinctive hoopoes nest and beautiful red kites, cuckoos and woodpeckers make their familiar sounds and swifts nest in the eaves of the barns. There are many other garden birds that visit every day. At night you will be serenaded by the barn owls and screeching owls.
The forest is also perfect for hiking enthusiasts, as the activity of 'randonne' or walking is very popular in this area. The forest is criss-crossed with walking tracks, providing cool shade for summer walks and great opportunities to see the local flora and fauna such as the roe deer.
The gites are close to several cycle routes called 'Sentiers du Perigord' for safe off road family holidays. Dordogne cycle hire delivers to the gites to make your cycling experience stress free.
