Description
The family-friendly gites are located in the heart of the Foret de La Double national park in the Perigord blanc. The properties have landscaped gardens and share outdoor space and the pool terrace. It is the perfect place for a relaxing family holiday. The gites are equipped with high quality furniture.
Gite Sanglier
Gite Sanglier is open plan with a modern living and dining area and a dining and sitting area on the balcony. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances needed. There is a dishwasher and a washing machine. The living room has comfortable sofas, Bluetooth speaker, coffee table and books for the relaxing moments. The dining area has a table and 6 chairs for indoor dining.
There are 3 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is equipped with a luxurious four-poster bed with crisp white linen, a large chest of drawers and a wardrobe. It has an en-suite bathroom. The patio doors open out onto the balcony, welcoming the rising sun. Bedroom 2 is fitted with a four poster bed with crisp white linen, a large chest of drawers and a hanging wardrobe. Bedroom 3 is fitted with two single beds with crisp white linen and a hanging wardrobe. The family bathroom has a free standing bath big enough for two people and a lovely walk in shower.
All bed linen and towels are provided.

Outside
Through the French doors to a balcony overlooking the pool, the guest garden and the meadow. The view from this space is beautiful in the early morning with the sun rising over the fields and woods. There is a dining table with seating for six, as well as low seating for relaxing during the day.

The ancient forest location offers a variety of flora and fauna with many opportunities to observe both birds and animals. In the spring the distinctive hoopoes nest and beautiful red kites, cuckoos and woodpeckers make their familiar sounds and swifts nest in the eaves of the barns. There are many other garden birds that visit every day. At night you will be serenaded by the barn owls and screeching owls.
The forest is also perfect for hiking enthusiasts, as the activity of 'randonne' or walking is very popular in this area. The forest is criss-crossed with walking tracks, providing cool shade for summer walks and great opportunities to see the local flora and fauna such as the roe deer.
The gites are close to several cycle routes called 'Sentiers du Perigord' for safe off road family holidays. Dordogne cycle hire delivers to the gites to make your cycling experience stress free. They are suitable for cyclists of all ages and sizes, including take-away bikes and bike seats for our younger guests.
The gites are located in the quieter, less populated part of the Dordogne with a wealth of pretty villages and markets on your doorstep.
You will be greeted with a welcome pack brimming with the wines and foodstuffs that the Perigord is famous for; some items are made from food grown on site or harvested nearby.
