From the top there is a magnificent view over the picturesque river Dronne and the castle Le Mas de Montet. La Gravette is a beautiful holiday home built in the 18th century. La Gravette can accommodate 9 people and is the ideal place for a quiet and well-deserved holiday.
Description
A long driveway leads to the holiday home La Gravette and is quietly situated on a hill of 50,000 m². La Gravette (174 m² living space) can accommodate 9 people plus a baby. During the restoration, the original character and layout of the house has been preserved. Removing part of the ceiling revealed the historic timbers with its old oak beams and extensively embellished the house with rooms 5 meters high. The bright living room with original fireplace is very spacious (42m²). There is a typical Périgord kitchen (33m²) with a fireplace by the table.
On the other side of the kitchen you will find 2 bedrooms. A large bedroom with a double bed and ensuite bathroom with bath and sink and a bedroom next to a separate bathroom with shower and toilet. A staircase from the hall leads to the first floor to a small double room and a spacious bedroom with a cot and three single beds and a bright shower room with toilet. La Gravette also has hot water, electric central heating, a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric hob and oven, telephone, satellite TV, stereo/CD player and wireless internet.
Outside
The view from the house is unobstructed, it is surrounded by three large terraces and has a modern 13 meter long swimming pool with an outdoor shower, a light-flooded pool house and large wooden sun terraces.
Ribérac has all amenities and is 13 km away. The cities of Perigueux (a city of art and prehistory, the cathedral of Saint-Front), Bergerac (beautiful city along the Dordogne), Saint-Emilion, Brantôme, are within a radius of 40 to 50 km and Angouleme and Bordeaux within a radius of 60 to 85 km. Aubeterre is one of the most beautiful villages in France. Brantôme, the Venice of the Perigord, with its prehistoric finds, dolmens, cliffs, springs, rocks and monasteries in the rock. Bourdeilles, a pretty little village with a medieval fortress. Villars with the most beautiful Renaissance castle in the southwest. Discover Bergerac, Perigueux and Brantôme in a gabarre (type of boat), an original way to visit the region. Take a day trip to the Dordogne and Vézère, Sarlat. The markets in the small villages, especially that of Riberac.
Activities
This region is ideal for lovers of outdoor activities and for the whole family. There are many small lakes with a sandy beach with a lifeguard nearby, where you can go swimming, fishing, pedal boating and windsurfing. There are also restaurants, snack bars and picnic areas. Canoe kayaking on the many rivers. Long marked trails for forest walks, horseback rides and mountain bikes. One can go mountain climbing and abseiling. Golfers are not forgotten as there is a golf course near Pillac.
