In a beautiful location in the Dordogne and not far from the town of Savignac lies La Maison du Pont, a beautiful detached holiday home with wellness, swimming pool and a large garden that is completely fenced. La Maison du Pont is suitable for 5 people and a baby. It is a true paradise for children and dogs are also very welcome.
Description
La Maison du Pont has a cozy living room with a sitting area with a fireplace, satellite TV, a large dining area, children's corner with toys and a fireplace. There are also electric (facade) heaters throughout the house. For extra entertainment there is also a DVD player, record player with singles and LPs, portable radio-CD player, shuffleboard, books, games, DVDs and CDs for all ages. In the wicker chest you will find indoor and outdoor toys such as tennis rackets, jeu-de-boules and in the red barrel there are toys for the little ones. The kitchen has a round dining area, large fridge with freezer, dishwasher, induction hob, combi oven/microwave, extra microwave, coffee maker, Senseo, kettle, toaster, kitchen scales, mixer, baking utensils, gourmet set, large baking tray, washing machine/dryer, ironing board, iron, vacuum cleaner, drying rack, heater and sufficient crockery.
There are 2 bedrooms
Bedroom 1 has a double bed of 160x200 (1 mattress) with linen cupboard, dressing table and standing fan. Bedroom 2 also has a double bed of 140x200 (1 mattress) and a single bed of 90x200 with 2 linen cupboards, TV for the DVD player and Wii game, cot, 2 high chairs, playpen and a table fan. The beds are already made upon arrival. There are extra pillows and single and double duvets and there is sufficient bed linen/bathroom linen/kitchen linen available. The bathroom is equipped with a shower cabin, bathroom furniture, hairdryer, heater. There is a separate toilet. Free Wi-Fi is available in the house
Outside
La Maison du Pont has a spacious garden all around with a terrace adjacent to the kitchen with garden furniture, electric sunshade, large parasol and a stone barbecue.
Wellness: The garden has a canopy with a (wood-fired) hot tub with bubbles, a cozy place to sit, a small terrace and a bar. At the front of the house you will find another small terrace with furniture and there is a large picnic bench. Enough places to enjoy and relax. In addition to the large swimming pool (366 cm in diameter) there is a small children's pool, sandpit. And there are some play equipment such as swings, slide and a seesaw. Also a swing bench.
You can enjoy our wood-fired hot tub with bubbles all year round. To cool off, you can leave the water as it is or heat it up a bit so that it is lukewarm. The heating up takes 2 to 3 hours (depending on the outside temperature). Don't forget to bring your drink and/or snack. There is a cup holder that can be slid around the edge. Relax further in the seat or on the terrace or enjoy a drink and snack at the cozy bar.
The garden has a gate with fencing at the front and is sheltered all around by trees, bushes and forest. From the garden you can walk straight into the forest and make a round along the river (great fishing spot), the castle and the old iron foundry and to Savignac Ledrier itself for a drink or ice cream on the terrace or a delicious lunch or dinner. If you want to eat, it is useful to go there in advance to make a reservation.
Prices include: gas, water, electricity, WiFi, firewood, tourist tax, bed linen, kitchen linen, bath linen, cot, baby playpen, high chairs and all the previously mentioned free extras. And exclusive: mandatory €60,- cleaning costs (to be paid in advance).
Dogs are very welcome. You pay no extra costs for your pet!
There are various tourist attractions (subtropical swimming paradise (indoor and outdoor pool), amusement parks, castles, caves, canoeing, horse riding), picturesque villages and towns (such as Sarlat and Montignac) in the area. A lake with a sandy beach and sports activities can be found 10 km from the house. Golf les Essendieras at 17 km. Every city or village has a weekly market and there is always a flea market or flea market somewhere. In short, plenty to do, but there is also plenty of rest for those who prefer it.
