Near the Dordogne River, in the Perigord Noir, just one kilometer from the charming village of Trémolat, you will find Les Chouettes. A small-scale domaine with 2 gites. This beautiful farm has been converted into a holiday home for 8 people. It is the ideal place for a holiday to relax. The house is located in the hamlet of Les Nardoux.
LES CHOUETTES 8P
Les Chouettes 8P is a beautifully renovated 250 year old farmhouse. There is a cozy lounge, a large kitchen. The farm can accommodate eight people. There are 4 four bedrooms, two shower rooms and a full bathroom.
On the ground floor you will find a bedroom with a queen-size bed and an ensuite bathroom with shower.
Next door you will find a comfortable bedroom with 2 single beds. And another full bathroom.
On the 1st floor you will find a master bedroom with high ceilings and a queen-size bed and another smaller bedroom with a double bed. A shower room is shared by these two bedrooms.
Outside
There is a large swimming pool and three outdoor areas with a view of the walnut grove. You share the swimming pool with another gite for 6P. We have "non-professional" bicycles available for you to use to explore the many villages in the area.
In Trémolat you will find a Michelin star restaurant in the hotel Le Vieux Logis. People visit the restaurant from far and wide. The "Bistro en Face" in Tremolat also has a Michelin star and has a variety of delicious local dishes ranging from 9 euros to 25 euros. You shouldn't leave without tasting the delicious magret de canard or foie gras. Les Tartines, is a quaint wine bar with a simple dish of toasties, delicious duck burgers and good quality wine. It's a great place to stop by for a light meal and watch the world go by. The local pizzeria "Nulle Part Ailleurs" has the best pizzas and some local dishes. Prices range from 9 euros to 20 euros. This is a great restaurant to go with your family. During the day - it's also a great place to stop for your morning coffee after purchasing your chocolate croissants from the local bakery. There are so many beautiful markets to be discovered. Sarlat-la-Caneda is known as an old bastide city. Every Wednesday and Saturday you can visit the bustling market to buy your basic ingredients to make the most delicious meals. There are so many beautiful stalls, all with delicious cans of foie gras, honey, walnuts, fresh produce, fish, meat and much more. Other favorite markets are Issigeac (Sunday), Bergerac (Wednesday and Saturday), Lalinde (Thursday and Saturday) and Perigueux (Wednesday and Saturday)
If you are looking for peace and quiet, take the time to visit the charming village of Limeuil. This is where the Dordogne and Vezerre rivers meet. Pack a picnic and take in the beautiful views from the river banks, or just pull up a chair on the deck and enjoy the sunset with a cold beer or glass of wine.
Go to the village of Beynac and jump on a gabarre. These are flat-bottomed medieval boats that carried oaks for wine barrels and other products along the Dordogne River. Cruise the old fashioned way and discover 5 castles! An experience you will never forget! These flat bottom boats are designed for your comfort and entertainment. The cruise lasts an hour and is fully guided.
