Outside
The pool is in full sun all day and is surrounded by a large terrace with sunbeds and umbrellas, ideal for relaxing poolside. Once in the enclosed garden you will find plenty of space in front, behind and on both sides of the holiday home. The location is quiet yet within walking distance of the town of Gourdon. There is no nuisance at the house from cars as the house is located in a quiet street. There is a lawn with garden furniture and a barbecue. The private pool has a safety cover.
Gourdon has a nice weekly market! Gourdon is located in the beautiful Lot/Dordogne region of South West France. Gourdon, the capital of the Bouriane, is a small picturesque town with many narrow streets leading to the church and the "Table d'Orientation" with a breathtaking 360 degree view of the Bouriane countryside. It has a history dating back to medieval times. On the ring road around the city you will find a variety of excellent restaurants and terraces where you can enjoy a daily menu in the sun. There are also several supermarkets and boulangeries selling delicious pastries, bread and croissants. Local products are sold on the Tuesday and Saturday markets. There are 2 lakes in a beautiful setting on the outskirts of the city.
There are also many activities to enjoy including canoeing on the Dordogne River (8km), hot air ballooning (20km), swimming and fishing in the lake (1km), 18 hole golf course (17km) and horse riding nearby . Rocamadour (one of the most visited places in France), Sarlat and the "Valley of the Castles" are all within easy reach, as are the vineyards of Cahors where you can taste the excellent wines of the Lot. If you prefer, you can of course just sit by the pool and enjoy the sun or relax under the tree with a good book.
