Outside
Maison Le Vigan has a very large private swimming pool which can also be covered, so that the water remains wonderfully warm. The garden is completely fenced and the entrance can be closed with an automatic gate. So ideal if you want to go on holiday with your dog.
Le Vigan is located in the beautiful Lot/Dordogne region of southwestern France. Gourdon, the capital of Bouriane, a few miles away, is a picturesque town with many fascinating side streets leading to the church and the "Table d'Orientation" which offers a beautiful 360 degree view of the Bouriane countryside. The ring road around the town is home to a variety of excellent restaurants and cafe bars where you can sit and watch the world go by. There are also several supermarkets and bakeries selling delicious pastries, breads and croissants. Local produce is sold on Tuesday and Saturday markets. There are also many activities to practice such as canoeing on the river Dordogne (8 km), hot air ballooning (20 km), swimming and fishing in the lake (4 km), 18-hole golf course (17 km) and equestrian sports. Rocamadour (one of the most visited places in France), Sarlat and the "Vallée des Châteaux" are all within easy reach, as are the vineyards of Cahors where you can taste the excellent wines of the Lot. Of course, if you prefer, you can just sit by the pool and enjoy the sun or relax under the trees with a book.
