The Boulet Valley is a forested shelter, at the crossroads of three of the loveliest regions of France.
To the north is the Correze (Limousin), well-known for its race of cattle. To the south is the Lot (Midi-Pyrenees), formerly the 'Quercy', rich in historical sites, caves and gastronomy. To the west is the Dordogne (Aquitaine), formerly the 'Perigord', also rich in nature and history.
The busy market towns of Souillac and historic Sarlat are close by. Cahors, to the south, is famous for its wine, but there are also many others waiting to be discovered by the discerning palate. If you want something to do, there are many historical sites, beautiful villages, castles, caves and gardens to visit. There are parks with wild animals, eagles and reptiles, and even dinosaurs! Hot-air balloons, delta-planes, ULMs, steam trains or horse-drawn caravans can help you experience the landscape differently.
Activities
A 18-hole golf course is only a kilometre away, with an excellent restaurant. Many local nature trails for hikers and bikers close to the house. The nearby Dordogne River offers fishing , canoeing and other activities. The cliffs afford rock climbing, and grottos potholing. Horse-riding.
