Villa Suze is a newly built house for 6 persons (+ baby) with a heated private pool and a large pool house, being situated just outside the village of Cazals in the Lot. The villa stands in its own grounds facing the village of Cazals. Romantically built with love for the area, the house has 3 large double bedrooms, of which the master bedroom with en-suite and a terraced balcony looking out towards Cazals.
Description
With the long balcony looking down onto the living area and out of the windows to the village. There is an open plan living area which is very inviting. The large open plan kitchen and dining area looks out onto the pool through the double doors.
Villa Suze is huge with an open staircase which continues onto a landing looking down onto the living area. The master bedroom has a door leading to an outside terrace which has a table and two chairs to enjoy the views with your morning coffee (children need to be supervised).
Living Room: The large open plan kitchen/dining room and large living room with two sofas one of which is a double sofa bed and a lounge chair, a flat screen TV with satellite and DVD player. There is also a CD player and iPod docking station.
Kitchen: The kitchen has a double oven cooker/grill, hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave.
Utility: A large utility with washing machine and storage for all your outdoor shoes and swimming gear.
Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with double bed and balcony. Bedroom 2 with double bed. Bedroom 3 with two single beds. Double sofa bed in the living area plus portable cot if required.
Bathrooms: En-suite to bedroom 1 with shower, hand basin and WC.
An upstairs family bathroom with bath/shower over, hand basin and WC.
A down stairs WC with hand basin. Central heating and room fans.
Outside
Sitting at the pool gives you views over the rolling hills. The pool and pool house with oak beams is at the front of the house and catches the sun all day with a car port at the rear of the house keeping your car out of the sun. Leaving the house either from the dining room or the lounge you step down onto a covered terrace. Beyond the terrace is the private pool area which is furnished with a hard wood dining table covered by a large parasol with 8 matching padded chairs, 6 covered loungers and the use of a mobile gas barbecue. The private pool is 10x5m with a stepped shallow end increasing to 180cm at the deeper end. The pool is surrounded by a large paved area with a large pool house to cool down or have a relaxing day in the shade. The pool house is fitted with electric lights so you are able to enjoy dining outside on those warm evenings. Beyond the pool area is a large grassed open field which can be used as a play area.
Cazals has two bakers for your fresh bread on a morning, with a small supermarket and local butchers, there are cafes and restaurants and the food is very good and not expensive at all! There is a market every Sunday selling fresh fruit and vegetables, cheeses, wine etc. There is a lake in Cazals where you can hire out a pedlow or go fishing… The department of the Lot is full of interesting villages and beautiful countryside. Visit the numerous chateaux which produce the famous Cahors wine, canoe on the river Lot or the river Dordogne and admire the fantastic limestone cliffs along the way, take a trip down into the caves of the Gouffre de Padirac or Pech Merle. Buy the local produce of foie gras, walnuts or an abundance of fruit and vegetables at one of the weekly bustling markets. Not to be missed is Les Arques with its Roman church and Zadkine museum.
Activities
There are nice beaches along the river Dordogne (25 kilometers) and Lot (also 25km). Hiking, biking, horseback riding, climbing, tennis, swimming, all within half hour of the house. Golf: There are several golf courses within 45 min of the house.
