What a stunning gite! Beautifully equipped and tastefully decorated. There are four incredibly spacious bedrooms, two have en suites and the other two bedrooms share a bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and we slept so well. The lovely open plan lounge/kitchen/diner is lovely and light. The kitchen has everything needed for preparing food and dining at the gite. On one of the nights during our stay, on the owners advice, we had the advertised French chef prepare, cook and serve a stunning three course meal for us. Two members of our group are vegetarians and one a vegan and they were beautifully taken care of. The chef is very talented. Outside there is a covered seating area and BBQ for al fresco dining which leads on to the stunning outdoor salt water swimming pool. Below this is the fishing lake which is lovely to walk around. We spent a lovely evening one night in the local pub in St Martin de Gurson where we met lots of friendly locals, both French and English. Tracey and Rob, the owners, thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable and were available to speak to whenever we needed advice. We will be back!

We were so lucky to find such a beautiful, clean and comfortable gite in such a tranquil setting. The children loved the pool whilst the men enjoyed the fishing! The property was everything you could ask for and the weather was glorious. We had such leisurely warm evenings either sat by the pool, fishing or having a bbq. Thank you Tracey for your hospitality whilst being there if we needed you, but also giving us the privacy to enjoy our holiday.

Enjoyed a very relaxing holiday, lovely location and very peaceful. Views over the lake very nice and lucky to see the resident Kingfisher. Good location from Bordeaux and some of the eastern bastille towns. Hope to be back again later in year

Just Perfect!
Just had a lovely 10 night holiday at this gorgeous 4 star gite. Can’t recommend it enough! Beautiful setting from the pool, to the lake and the plentiful seating areas. There was just 2 of us and a baby but for a bigger group it would be great. Really clean and spacious inside and out and it’s obvious from the outset that the hosts (who were wonderful) have tried and succeeded to think of everything that you would need to have a great holiday, it really is a home from home! The hosts live just next door and are always on hand if you need anything (but also leave you too it so it feels very private) Good location to visit lots of different areas of the Dordogne and further (ask Tracey for some good recommendations) my Husband caught a few good fish in the lake too. Thank you Tracy and Rob for a great holiday we would love to come back again. Don’t hesitate ... just book it!! xxx

Cottage was everything we could have wished for. We stayed in February, during a particularly cold spell, however the log burner kept everywhere really warm (loads of logs supplied) so we can certainly recommend a stay here for an out of season holiday.
The welcome pack was a lovely addition.
We didn't get the chance to experience any of the local amenities hence the lower score.
The lake walk looked inviting and if the weather had been better we would have enjoyed a stroll around it and into the surrounding countryside.

We have just returned from a fabulous week. It is simply stunning. It is also incredibly relaxing and peaceful. The gite is amazingly equipped and Tracey has thought of everything! The welcome box is verybthoightfully brimming! It has been immaculately renovated and beautifully decorated and furnished. Our 10 year old was delighted to have his own en suite as well as a king size bed... as was the toddler to have his own cot and bath!! Tracey provided stair gates as well as a cot and high chair which was fantastic! The welcome folder is full of information about the surrounding area and Tracey is close by if you have any other questions. She even printed out a local running route for me so that I didn't get lost! It really is a very special place. The outdoor dining area is gorgeous and wonderfully shaded. The saltwater pool was lovely on hot summer days and the pool alarm and gate ensured that, as parents of a toddler, we could relax without forever dreading an unexpected splash! The boys had fun fishing in the lake and although not successful, they will try again on the next visit! We loved it so much that we only left to go shopping, visit a vineyard and a trip to St. Emillion. The holiday home is one of those places that you want to tell everyone about... but at the same time keep a secret so that you can go whenever you want!! If you have booked already we are sure you will have wonderful time. We just can't wait until next year as we hope to return.
